Meet the Team
Today, our passion lies in sharing our knowledge with fellow designers and startups. Our aim is to empower them to devote more time to developing exceptional products and reducing the headaches associated with supply chain issues and the challenges of manufacture.
Leah - Founder
Leah is the commercial founder of Bamboo Bridge. She started out in planning and project management, but everything changed when she started helping her husband Dave tackle problems with his manufacturing supply chain. That's when she found her passion.
Nowadays, when she's not researching the latest in manufacturing technologies and materials, she's tracking down and managing new suppliers, and taking care of relationships in China and Vietnam.
Leah has a real talent for building strong connections. She's particularly good at working with startups, making sure suppliers understand their potential. This way, she helps set up these relationships for success from the very beginning.
Clients love Leah's tenacity. She won't stop until she's solved a problem. Her forward-thinking approach and her ability to handle relationships keep projects moving forward smoothly, steering clear of any unexpected surprises.
Dave - Technical Advisor
Dave is the co-founder and CTO at FLIT, a Cambridge-based startup that designs innovative folding, lightweight e-bikes. With a mechanical engineering background and fluency in Mandarin, he enjoys a life shuttling between factories and expos in China discovering the best ways to make things.
Transitioning from the initial e-bike design to full-scale production presented numerous challenges. Dave grappled with finding the right suppliers, managing costs, maintaining consistent quality, and deciphering the complexities of designing for manufacturing processes. These obstacles demanded considerable time and focus during the early stages of scaling his startup.
Today, Dave is passionate about sharing his knowledge with other designers and startups so they can bring to market amazing products that live up to the big dreams of those early concepts.
